The Clinton Herald Monday April 23, 1979 p. 6 The funeral was today for Mrs. Viola Siegel, 66, Maquoketa, who died Friday at Jackson County Public Hospital. Burial was in Mt. Hope Cemetery with Carson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She was born Oct. 16, 1912, in Andrew, to Nick and Mildren Custer Thillen. She married Edward Siegel Dec. 31, 1938, in Anamosa. She was the owner of Siegel Furniture Store from 1949 to 1977. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Emma) Mohr of Grand Mound. She was preceded in death by her husband.
