MESA, Ariz. — Robert “Bob” L. Leavens, age 73, passed away in Mesa Dec., 7, 2007. Bob was born June 29, 1934, in Savanna, Illinois, to Floyd and Marjorie Leavens. Bob served in the Air Force serving one term, then returning to Fulton, Illinois where he met and married his life-long companion Barbara J. Ashbough. They moved to Safford, Arizona, in 1973 where he worked and retired from the City of Safford maintenance department in 1996. They then moved to Mesa in 2002 to be closer to part of their family. A memorial will be held December 16, 2007 at 1 p.m. at Hacienda de Valencia East Clubhouse, 201 S. Greenfield Rd., Mesa, Ariz. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara J., two daughters, Bobbi A. Remrey (Fred Booth) of Clinton, Iowa, Pamela Kittrell (Keith) of Mesa, Arizona, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters and his son, Terry L. Leavens.
