Mohr, Myrna F.

CLINTON — Myrna F. Mohr, 84, died December 7, 2007, in Palo Alto, Calif., where she recently moved. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 12, 2008, at Chancy Lutheran Church with Rev. Fred Schauer officiating. Following the services a lunch will be served at the church. Burial will be in the Miles Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, January 11, 2008 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory. Myrna F. Mohr was a 16-year resident of Clinton, after residing in Miles for 40 years. She was born March 19, 1923, in Clinton to John A. Thomsen and Vera J. Jackson Thomsen and raised in Teeds Grove. She graduated from Miles High School and from the Scovill Business Schools and subsequently was employed as a secretary at the Clinton National Bank. She married LeRoy A. Mohr of Clinton on April 22, 1943, in San Antonio, Texas. She was a member of Chancy Lutheran Church, Clinton. Earlier, she was active in St. John's Lutheran Church, Preston, where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School to pre-schoolers for over 20 years. She was also a member of the Miles American Legion Auxiliary and its Past Presidents’ Parley. Her hobbies were golf and bridge. Survivors include: LeRoy, her loving husband of 64 years; a brother and sister, Eugene (JoAn) Thomsen of Miles and Betty (Harold) Koch of Sabula; a son and three daughters, Richard (Jennifer) of Palo Alto, CA, Karen (Fred) Whyte of Virginia Beach, VA, Barbara (Lynn) Conner of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Cheryl Mohr of Fresno, CA. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A sister, Velma (William) Liddle, predeceased her. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the American Heart Associa-tion, American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Association.
