Hulbert, Emma C.

CLINTON — Emma C. Hulbert, age 72, of Clinton, died Tuesday Nov. 27, 2007, at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home. According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held Friday 2:00 p.m. at Smithtown Cemetery near Lost Nation, IA. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family. Emma was born on Nov. 20, 1935, in Lost Nation, IA, the daughter of Willie and Ruth (Everetts) Hurlburt. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly in their homes for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clinton. Emma is survived by her brother, George (Caroline) Andresen of Camanche, IA; her sister, Mrs. Betty (Russell) Paulsen of Maquoketa, IA; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters. Death date: Nov. 27, 2007
