The Clinton Herald Tuesday January 27, 1953 p. 9 Gustave L. Dierks, 52, of 719 S. 6th St., died at 1:15 p.m. Monday in Jane Lamb hospital after six-months illness. Friends may call at the Snyder funeral home after 7 p.m. tonight. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's church with burial in St. Irenaeus-Calvary cemetery. The son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dierks, he was born Feb. 13, 1900, at Bryant, and was married there in 1923 to Irene McGrory. He had been employed at Clinton Foods Inc. for 22 years and was a member of Wapsie Aerie, F.O.E. He is survived by his wife, three brothers, Alfred of Waterloo, Louis and Ernest Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Peter Rittmer, Andover. A brother, Emil and two infant sisters preceded him in death.
