The Clinton Herald Saturday March 13, 1948 p. 7 DeWitt - Mrs. Anna Schwarz,, 87, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday in her home near here. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Zion Lutheran church, Elvira, with the Rev. William Goetz officiating. Burial will be in Dierks cemetery. Friends may call at the Pape funeral home, Clinton. Anna Mason Schwarz, daughter of Mathias and Katherine Mason was born March 22, 1860, in Schofstadt, Germany, and came to this country when 12 years old. In May 1878, she married Michael Schwarz, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sons, two daughters and two brothers. Survivors include four children, Mrs. John C. Peters, Stickney, S.D., Mathias, Clinton, Alfred, Bryant, and Lawrence, Rockford, Ill.; four sisters, Mrs. A.J. Voss, Bryant, Mrs. Hans Henningson, North Dakota, Mrs. John Marholz and Mrs. Ed Boysen, Minnesota, and a brother, Chris Mason, Rolfe.
