The Clinton Herald Saturday March 16, 1929 p. 5 Mrs. H.B. Dewell, 735 Sixth avenue, South, died at 10:45 o'clock last night at Jane Lamb hospital after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Bragonier chapel and will be conducted by the Rev. H.E. Harned, pastor of the Congregational church. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. The body may be viewed at the home by friends from Sunday up until the time of services Tuesday. Dorothea Gosch wsa born in Erfde, Germany, February 7, 1882 and came to America when two months of age, the family settling in Clinton where she spent her entire life. She was united in marriage to Harmon B. Dewell, June 21, 1905. Mrs. Dewell is survived by her husband, one son, Dwight A. Dewell and three sisters, Mrs. Roy Locke, of Clinton, Mrs. C.K. Smith and Mrs. Claus Schlump, both of Davenport. Mrs. Dewell was a member of the Congregational church and of the Order of Eastern Star.
