STOCKTON, Ill. — Margaret L. Marcure, age 93, of Stockton, Ill., died Saturday, November 10, 2007, at home. She was born April 23, 1914, in Hanover, the daughter of the late Albert and Bessie (Bain) Franke.She was a graduate of Hanover High School.She married Edmund Marcure on June 20, 1933, in Hanover; he died April 3, 1979. They had farmed together and she had taught at several country schools. She was a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church in Schapville, she had taught Sunday school and had been the church secretary at the First Presbyterian Church in Hanover and belonged to the Circle at both churches. She was a member of the Elder Hostel. She loved gardening, quilting, crocheting, sewing, reading, traveling and their farm.She is survived by her two daughters, Corinne (Sylvan) Labrie of Stockton, Ill., and Sandra (Al) Griffiths of Hanover; two daughters-in-law, Betty Marcure of Elizabeth, Ill., and Nelda Marcure of Stockton, Ill.; three sons, Edmund Marcure of Stockton, Ill., Charles “Buzz” (Diane) Marcure of Stockton, Ill., Dave (Diane) Marcure of Stockton, Ill.; 23 grandchildren, Alex, Jim, Cathy, Bruce, Elaine, Robert, Mark, Jeff, Diane, George, Maryvette, Renee, Dan, Brad, Eric, Chad, Ian, Kevin, Kraig, Kristine, Kim, Dan and Darrin; and 23 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two daughters, Bessie and Mary Jo; four sons, Albert, Jim, Bob and Tom; one brother, Bobbie; and one sister, Mollie.Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Hermann Funeral Home in Stockton. Funeral service will be at Zion Presbyterian Church in Schapville at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2007, with the Rev. Dottie Morizzio officiating. Interment will be at Lost Mound Cemetery in Hanover, Ill. A memorial fund has been established for the Monroe Hospice.Death date: Nov. 10, 2007
