The Clinton Herald Friday February 23, 1912 p. 8 Edward Goodwin Frnlon, who died Thursday at his home, 517 Seventh avenue, was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John G. Fenlon and was born in Chicago, Ill., March 14, 1861. With his mother, he came to Clinton in 1870, his father being deceased, and he was reared in Clinton and educated in the Clinton schools. His mother passed away in 1893. For about twenty-five years, Mr. Fenlon was engaged in the wood and coal business in Clinton. Previous to engaging in that business he was employed on the Northwestern railway as a brakeman. He was successful in his business, in which he continued until his death and had a great number of business and social friends. On March 26, 1884, Mr. Fenlon was married to Miss Mary Amanda McKenzie, who with four children is left to mourn his death. The children are George Edward, Miss Mable Grace, John Closson and Miss Mary Adelaide Fenlon. One granddaughter, Georgia Louise, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fenlon, also is left. Mr. Fenlon also leaves the following brothers and sisters to mourn his death: Charles C. and William W. Fenlon of Clinton, Mrs. Ruth Adelaide Greenfield of New York City, Mrs. S.C. Seaman and Mrs. J.G. Aller of Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the late residence, Rev. O.C. Kirkham, of Tiskilwa, Ill., formerly pastor of the Baptist churchere here and an old friend of the family, will officiate. Interment will be in Springdale cemetery. Clinton lodge of Elks having charge of the services at the grave.
