1987The Clinton Herald Wednesday September 16, 1987 p. 16 Agatha Ehlers, 94, of 2820 N. 3rd St., died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Wayne Brinkmann officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Pape Funeral Home, and from 1 p.m. until the service hour Friday in the Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronald McGauvran, Robert Hammer, Vernon Smith, Michael Dewell, Harold Martensen and William Zaiser. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben and George Meyermann, Lewis Rathje, Elmer Luckritz, Albert Paysen and Harry Boysen. Mrs. Ehlers was born Feb. 11, 1893, in Lyons, to Carl and Ingeburg Martensen Hansen. She married Ferdinand P. Ehlers, Dec. 14, 1912, in Lyons. He died in 1963. She was a homemaker, a life-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a member of St. John's Sewing Circle. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. LaVonne Raun, of Clinton; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and three brothers.
