The Clinton Herald Friday May 15, 1959 p. 15 Carl C. Clausen, 65, of 1910 Roosevelt St., died at 7 p.m. last night at his home following a heart attack. The body is in the Pape funeral home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home, Rev. Martin S. Bredow of Zion Lutheran church will officiate and burial will be in Grove Hill cemetery at Morrison, Ill. Carl C. Clausen was born here Sept. 8, 1893, the son of Peter and Caroline Golde Clausen. He was married Nov. 7, 1931 in Morrison to Ethel Carlisle. He was a retired manager of the Iowa Liquor Commission store in Lyons. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a social member of the Lyons Ex-Servicemen's association. He is survived by his wife; 2 stepsons, Harry Gibbs of Sterling, Ill. and Carroll Gibbs of Chicago; 1 sister, Mrs. Lena Luckritz of Elgin, Ill, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, 2 brothers adn 3 sisters.
