The Clinton Herald Tuesday May 14, 2002 p. 9A Helen E. Leonard, 82, of Clinton, died Monday at Mercy South Medical Center in Clinton. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m.Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Clinton. Burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery. She was born on June 11, 1919, in Spragueville to Daniel and Loretta (McLaughlin) Driscoll. She married John F. "Jack" Leonard on June 19, 1943, at Sacred Heart Church in Clinton. She graduated from Sabula High School and then the Scovill Business College. She was a homemakere and was also employed with the Curtis Co., in Clnton, in the file department. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish and Ladies Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Mary (Peter) Kaup of Clinton, Marcia Leonard of Clinton, Mrs. Barbara (Joseph) Peters of Clinton and Mrs. Helen (Mark) Peters of Clinton; four sons, David Leonard of Ottumwa, Eugene Leonard of Red Wood, Calif., John Leonard of St. Louis, Mo., and Daniel Leonard of Clinton; a niece, Mrs. Jill (Brian) Lemke of Clinton; 13 grandchildren; one great-granchild; and four sisters, Mary Driscoll of Clinton, Loretta Campbell of Florida, Elizabeth McLaughlin of Colorado and Phebe Neumann of Preston. Memorials can be made to the Prince of Peace Academy. Death date: May 13, 2002.
