The Clinton Herald Wednesday October 27, 2004 p. 11A Harold H. Jorgensen, 91, of Cottage Grove Place died there on Tuesday Oct. 26, 2004 after an extended illness. Services at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at First Lutheran Church where there will also be Masonic Rites. Rev. Kay Slocum will officiate. Burial at 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the Springdale Cemetery in Clinton. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday. Survivors include his wife, Erma, a son, James and his wife Susan of State Center. He is also survived by tow grandchildren, Jeffrey Jorgensen and his wife, Brenda of Melbourne, Fl, Rachel Bangs and her husband, T.J. of Hurley and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Glen. Harold was born on April 4, 1913 in Clinton, the son of Nies and Frieda Detlefsen Jorgensen. He married Erma M. Eggers on Dec. 8, 1937 in Clinton. Harold was an electronics buyer at Rockwell-Collins for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, El Kahir Shrine, Civil War Round Table, Crescent Lodge No. 25, the Danish Society and proudly served in the Navy during WW II. Harold enjoyed antique collecting and was an avid readeer and historian. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Salvation ARmy in Harold's name.
