The Clinton Herald Saturday January 26, 1985 p. 14 The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home, for Herman "Herky" Ytsen, 85, formerly of 601 N. 13th St., who died Friday at Bluff Terrace Nursing Home. The Chaplain Horst Hehr, Chaplain of Jane Lamb Health Center, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Thomas Burke, Clinton Burkley, John Geltz, Emil Gustafson, Dannas Schumacher, and Norman Stickell. Mr. Ytsen was born Aug. 10, 1899, in Clinton, to Jurgen and Mary Moellere Ytsen. He married Harriet Judd, July 13, 1920, in Clinton, She died in Oct. 1984. Mr. Ytsen was a sanitation engineer at Clinton Corn Processing Company, retiring in 1953 after 38 years of service. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Katherine Alt of Clinton; two sons, W. Jack and Bruce L., both of Clinton; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, a brother and two sisters.
