The Clinton Herald Saturday December 2, 1950 p. 13 Clifton Clyde Burlingame, 66, Davenport, a former Clinton resident, died at 8:02 a.m. Friday in St. Luke's hospital, Davenport, after a lingering illness. The body was taken to the Runge mortuary in Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, with burial in Springdale cemetery, Clinton. He was born Sept. 4, 1884, in Clinton, the son of Milo and Jennie Burlingame. He attended the Clinton public schools, and was married to Gladys Lowell Judd July 29, 1914, in Clinton. He was a resident of Clinton until 1928, when the family moved to Davenport. He was a member of the Grace Methodist church. Surviving are his wife, four sons, William, Eugene and Kenneth, all of Davenport, and Albert, in the air force at Ocean City, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Groege Oertel, Davenport; five grandchildren, and a brother, Ray, Chicago, Ill. He was preceded in death by one brother.
