The Clinton Herald Monday August 25, 1941 p. 5 Evin Royce Judd, 93, of 652 First avenue, died at 7 a.m. Sunday in his home following a one year's illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Snell funeral home, where the body reposes. The Rev. C.E. Thompson, pastor of the Full Gospel tabernacle, will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Evin Judd was born Sept. 7, 1847, in Whitehall, N.Y., and was the eldest of fourteen sons of Levi and Lovina Judd. He and Mary Elizabeth Green were married in Whitehall. She died 22 years ago. Surviving are one son, E.R. Judd of Clinton; four daughters, Mrs. H.P. Jepsen and Mrs. J.C. Buckman, both of Clinton, Mrs. Fred Smart of Canada, and Mrs. Sam Handy of Chicago; two brothers, Charles Frederick Judd and Horace Nelson Judd of Rock Island, Ill.; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, one son, Levi, one foster son, Patty Sheun, who died eight years ago; two daughters, Mrs. Lovina Schawl and Mrs. Susan Graham, and eleven brothers.
