The Clinton Herald Monday September 8, 1997 Sanara Edna Garien, 74, of 1913 15th Ave. South, died Friday in her home. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Frederick Lubs officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and Crematory, and from noon until the service hour Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert, Richard and Randy Garien, Donald Behrens, Doug McCulloh and Robert Judd. Honorary pallbearer will be Ronald Judd. She was born Dec. 8, 1922, in Clinton, to Marshall "Buzz" and Edna Mathews Judd. She married George C. Garien, Aug. 12, 1949, in Clinton. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and TOPS Chapter 132, Clinton. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Sherry (Lawrence) Walling of Clinton, two sisters, Winefred Andersen of Clinton, and Mrs. Eileen (Ben) BEhrens of Sterling, Ill.; a brother, Marshall Judd of Elvira; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Death date: Sept. 5, 1997.
