Utroska, Joan P.

Joan P. Utroska, age 89, of Clinton, died Friday, September 28, 2007 at her home. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, October 4th at the Pape Funeral Home in Clinton. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.

Joan was born on February 20, 1918 in Clinton the daughter of John and Christine Matthiesen. Joan graduated from Lyons High School. She married Wayne Utroska on March 22, 1941 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Joan had been employed at Darlene’s on Main Ave. She was a member of the Community Congregational Church, UCC.

Joan is survived by her husband, Wayne; a daughter, Karen (Donald) Wallace of Palm Desert, CA; two step grandchildren, D. J. (Karen) Wallace of Houston and David (Teresa) Wallace of Bettendorf and two great grandchildren, Ben and Ellie Wallace of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorials may be made to the Clinton Humane Society or the Community Congregational Church.
