Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa.
SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

MAQUOKETA — Glatha A. Sayers, 90, of Maquoketa and formerly of Muscatine, died Monday at Briarwood Care Center, Maquoketa. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was born July 1, 1917, in Maquoketa to John “Lute” and Edna Edwards Brady Sr. She married Kenneth E. Sayers on Feb. 29, 1948, in Davenport. He died in June. She was educated in Emeline country schools. She was a homemaker. In her earlier years, she worked at Bishop’s in Davenport and then for the Heinz Co. in Muscatine. She was baptized into the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Janesville, Wis.

Survivors include one son, Leroy “Roy” (Vicki) Reynolds of Maquoketa; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold (Dorothy) Brady of Maquoketa; one sister, Janice (Jerry) Yarolem of Maquoketa; and two sisters-in-law, Maxine Brady of Maquoketa and Merle Brady of Maquoketa.
