Visitation: 4 p.m. Wednesday prayer service at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellevue and visitation afterward until 7 p.m. at the church. The Kingery-John C. Lemke Funeral Home, Bellevue, is in charge of the arrangements. SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church with Archbishop Jerome Hanus officiating.

DUBUQUE — Monsignor Edgar Joseph Kurt, 93, of Dubuque, died Sunday at Stone Hill Care Center, Dubuque. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

He was born March 27, 1914, in Bellevue to John and Louise Heim Kurt. He completed his seminary training at St. Mary’s Seminary and University in Baltimore. He lived at Villa Raphael in Dubuque for 18 years.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and four brothers.
