MORRISON, Ill. — Ada E. Reisenbigler, 94, of Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, died Friday at the nursing home.Interment will be in Fenton (Ill.) Cemetery.Pallbearers will be Dale Reisenbigler, Cory Reisenbigler, Clint Reisenbigler, David Verhulst, Roger Verhulst and Mel Rice.

She was born Jan. 11, 1913, in Fenton to LeRoy M. and Lera Montague Burns. She was educated in Fenton Elementary schools and graduated from Erie High School in 1930. She married Clifford M. Reisenbigler on Feb. 4, 1933, in Fenton. He died in 2006. She and her husband farmed in the Fenton Township area for 60 years. She and her husband moved from the farm in Fenton to Morrison in 1993. For about 30 years, she wrote local news for the Sterling (Ill.) Gazette, Quad-City Times, Clinton Herald, Whiteside-News Sentinel, Erie Review and Fulton (Ill.) Journal. She was a lifetime member of Fenton United Methodist Church. She was the organizer of the Christian Endeavor movement in the local church for young people. She was active with the Whiteside County Christian Endeavor Society and was president of that organization in 1930. She was a Sunday school teacher, promoted the Women’s Missionary Society and was active in the church’s Ladies Aid Society. She was a local delegate to the annual meeting of the Northern Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Resthave Nursing Home board of directors for several years. She was a member of the Morrison Hospital Auxiliary and Pink Ladies group. She was a 4-H leader, member of the Morrison Camera Club, AARP and Monday Evening Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jo (Ernest) Verhulst of St. Charles, Mo., and Constance (Kenneth) Lewis of Eau Claire, Wis.; two sons, Merle (Sharon) Reisenbigler of Morrison and John (Linda) Reisenbigler of Fenton; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Fenton United Methodist Church or the Reisenbigler Memorial Endowment Scholarship Fund at Erie High School. Condolences may be made at www.bosmarenkes.com.She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
