SERVICES: Private graveside memorial services. Lahey Funeral and Cremation Services in Maquoketa is in charge of arrangements. DES MOINES — Margaret R. Franzen, 66, of Des Moines, died Sept. 5 at the University Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Des Moines. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa, at a later date. She was born Sept. 4, 1941, in Maquoketa to Mathias and Mary Dwyer Franzen. Survivors include five sisters, Anna Marie Wagner of Maquoketa, JoAnn Reiter of Anamosa, Marcy (Allen) Eganhouse of Bellevue, Patricia (Orville) Wagner of Delmar and Rita Hughes of Maquoketa; seven brothers, Jim (Mae) Franzen of Clinton, Gerald (Lois) Franzen, Mart Franzen, Marvin (Barb) Franzen, Wayne (Julia) Franzen, all of Maquoketa, Leonard (Cheryl) Franzen and Edward Butch (Marie) Franzen, both of DeWitt; one sister-in-law, Darlene Franzen of Maquoketa; special friend, Ron; and many nieces and nephews.
