Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, is in charge of arrangements.SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church with Pastor Mark Oehlert officiating.STERLING, Ill. — A. Oleta Spencer DePuy, 95, of Sterling, died Sunday.Burial will be in Oak Knoll Memorial Park. She was born Dec. 23, 1911, in Ogle County, Ill., to Frank C. and Bertha Bailey Spencer. She married Elwood Charles DePuy.She was an active member of the Galt Grange and St. John’s Lutheran Church. She was the historian/genealogist for the Spencer-Benham family for many years. Survivors include one brother, F. Gail Spencer of Sterling; one son, Oris and Dana (Reynolds) DePuy of Sterling; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.A memorial has been established. Death date: Sept. 9, 2007
