The Clinton Herald Saturday June 1, 1968 p. 13 Mrs. Rose Gertrude Burken, 94, formerly of 553 3rd Ave. S., died this morning in Clinton Manor nursing home. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Delaney funeral home. A prayer service at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home will precede requiem high mass at 11:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart church. Burial will be in St. Boniface cemetery. The Altar and Rosary Society will say the rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday and the Office of the Dead will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Pallbearers will be Delbert and Robert Regenwether, John, Loren and James Burken and Robert Rosenberger. Mrs. Burken was born in Clinton Oct. 16, 1873, the daughter of Jacob and Mary Ziegler Rosenberger. Her marriage to John A. Burken took place in Sacred Heart church on June 12, 1895. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. J.J. (Loretta) Regenwether of Clinton and Mrs. Joseph (Adeline) Schmeig of Savanna, two sons, Arnold A. and Edgar H., both of Clinton, eight-grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents, one daughter and one sister.
