HARDERSEN, JURGENSEN, MOWAT, PARKET, BICKERT, DETLEFSEN, WAREHIME

The Clinton Herald George M. Hardersen, 62, of Camanche, died Tuesday in Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Camanche with Rev. Alfred J. Lewensten officiating. Friends may call at the Snell-Smith funeral home. Pallbearers will be Virtus Hansen, Jack Brooks, Leo Kohlmorgan, Robert Wiese, Bernie Reid, Donald Hamdorf, Clyde Law and Alvin Poffenberger. Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Walter Porth, Ed Widdel, Prentis Shaw, Jens Willadsen, Paul Burnett and Ralph Sievert. Mr. Hardersen was born Oct. 5, 1905 in Clinton, the son of Martin P. and Helga Jurgensen Hardersen. He married Marjorie Mowat on July 12, 1941 in Bryant. He was a member of the Eagles Club, the Elks Club and the U.Y.C. He operated a plumbing and heating contracting business in Clinton from 1932 until he retired in 1960. He was still active in farming north of Elvira. Survivors include his wife; his mother, Mrs. Martin Hardersen of Clinton; a son, Thomas of Bryant; two daughters, Mrs. William (Barbara) Parker of Camanche and Mrs. Charles (Mary Jo) Bickert Jr. of Clinton; eight grandchildren and two sister, Mrs. Donald (Marjorie) Detlefsen of Clinton and Mrs. LeRoy (Laurine) Warehime of Milledgeville, Ill. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
