The Clinton Herald Tuesday June 30, 1942 p. 5 Funeral services for Mrs. Hans Butzbach, 84, who died at 11:45 a.m. Monday in her home, 234 Fourteenth avenue South, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the family home. The body will repose until 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Snell funeral home. The Rev. George W. Krueger of Zion Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale cemetery. Wiebeka Stange, daughter of Andrew and Margaret Stange, was born Dec. 12, 1857, in Kiel, Germany. On May 7, 1882, she married Hans Butzbach in Clinton where the couple made their home until the death of Mr. Butzbach in 1910. Mrs. Butzbach was a Gold Star mother and member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Her son, Henry, was killed in the World war. Besides her husband and son, she was preceded in death her parents and another son William. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Frank Lehmann, three sons, John, Andrew and Fred, all of Clinton, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
