Charles “Charlie” W. Ryan

Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, is assisting the family with arrangements.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

DEWITT — Charles “Charlie” W. Ryan, 52, of DeWitt, died Saturday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Grand Mound. Eugene McManus American Legion Post 238 of DeWitt will conduct military rites.

Pallbearers will be Larry, Mike and Wade Burken, Wil McClimon, Todd McWilliams and Matt McGuire.

He was born Jan. 1, 1955, in DeWitt to Joseph and Mary Green Ryan.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of DeWitt Night Lions.

He graduated from Central DeWitt High School and Mount St. Clare College.

Survivors include his partner, Kathleen Ryan; one son, Graham Porth; one grandchild; two daughters, Colleen and Maureen Ryan; three sisters, Lenore McGuire, Janet (John) Burken and Joyce Spindler; and 30 nieces and nephews.
