Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Wierenga, pastor of Garden Plain (Ill.) Presbyterian Church, officiating.

THOMSON, Ill. — Mary Ellen Main, 65, of Thomson, died Wednesday at Mercy North Hospital.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, Ill.

She was born Nov. 16, 1941, in Kewanee, Ill., to Earl and Mary E. Homer Brasel.

She was educated in Wethersfield schools in Kewanee before graduating in 1959.

She married William Covell in 1961 in Rock Falls, Ill. He died in 1973. She then married Jerry Main in 1978 in Clark, Mo.

She was employed with the General Electric Co., Morrison, for 15 years. She then managed the Shady Acres Mobile Home Park, Albany, Ill., before retiring in 2003 and moving to Georgia.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Lena “Squirt” (Greg) Swigart of St. Mary’s, Ga., and Kelly (Matt Kuehl) Covell of Sterling, Ill.; two sons, Eddie (LouAnn) Covell of Kasbeer, Ill., and Max B. (Deb) Covell of Fulton, Ill.; four grandchildren; four sisters, Donna (Tom) Bergren of Kewanee, Judy Smith of St. Mary’s, Dale (Todd Johnson) Ludvigsen of Fulton and Pat (Tony) Goldsmith of Newton; and one brother, Bruce Brasel of Fulton; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Memorials will be established.
