SERVICES: Private family services will be held at a later date. Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
CLINTON — William O. Eversoll, 78, of Clinton, died Sunday at Mercy North Hospital.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.
She was born March 9, 1928, in Jo Daviess County, Ill., to Elmer and Emma Atkins Eversoll. He married Ruth Herbener on March 18, 1951, in Clinton.
He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II from 1946 to 1949.
He worked with Hawkeye Chemical Co. as a chemical solutionist for many years.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Martha Holm of Iowa City and Nancy Saionz of Clinton; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and five sisters.
