Visitation: 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jones Funeral Home, Dixon, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m.
SERVICES: 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick Catholic Church with the Rev. Robert Jones, pastor, officiating.
DIXON, Ill. — Ellen C. Meade, 93, of Dixon, died Sunday at Lee County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon.
She was born May 13, 1913, in Albany, Ill., to John and Nell Pollard Loftus. She married Nathan F. Meade on June 19, 1945, in Dixon. He died in l964.
She worked with Freeman Shoe Corp. and also was a real estate agent with the Walter Boos Agency, both in Dixon.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dixon.
Survivors include two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established.
