SAVANNA, Ill. — Peter J. Sedivy, 66, of Savanna, died Friday at his home.

Cremation rites will be accorded.

He was born June 11, 1940, to Peter F. and Olive B. Hartline Sedivy in Prarie Du Chien, Wis.

He graduated from Savanna High School in 1958 and later attended college in Platteville, Wis.

He served eight years in the U.S. Army, spending two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was stationed in Da Nang as a radar repairman. He received a certificate of achievement for recognition of meritorious performance of duty.

He was a member of Savanna VFW.

He worked with the Agrico Fertilizer Plant, Fulton, Ill. He also worked with Eaton Corp. and Swiss Colony, Savanna.

Survivors include his mother, Olive; two brothers, Chuck (Kerry) Sedivy of Hanover, Ill., and Bill (Jayne) Sedivy of Thomson, Ill.; one sister, Alice (Darold) Austin of Galesburg, Ill.; and eight nephews and four nieces.

Memorials may be made to Savanna Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2223 in his name.
