ERIE, Ill. — Dorothy Reiss Halvorson, 91, of Erie, died Sunday at Resthave Nursing Home, Morrison.
Burial will be in Erie Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 19, 1915, in Garrison to Clifford and Jesse Burris Rommann. She married Milo Reiss on Sept. 30, 1935, in Waukegan, Ill. He died in 1971. She then married Erling Halvorson in 1983 in Texas. He died in 1998.
She retired from General Electric, Morrison, Ill.
She was a member of Erie Christian Church, G.E.M. Club, Morrison, and Rebecca Lodge in Iowa.
Survivors include two sons, Larry (Laurel) Reiss of Erie and Dennis Reiss of Fulton, Ill.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Erie Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by one grandchild, three sisters and two brothers.
