Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Chancy Lutheran Church. Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chancy Lutheran Church with the Rev. Fred Schauer officiating.

CLINTON — Eldora M. Temple, 86, of Clinton, died Saturday at her home.

Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Michael Knutsen, Bryan Knutsen, Jeff Kane, Dan Kane, Victor Murga and Rodney Wilkens.

She was born July 9, 1920, in Clark, S.D., to William and Alvena Boysen Mehlberg. She married Gerald E. Temple on May 27, 1950, at Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula.

She was a 1937 graduate of Preston High School.

She was a real estate agent and broker, owning and operating Temple Realty from 1971 until her retirement in December of 2000. She served as the president of the Clinton Board of Realtors from 1990 to 1991. She was director and served as vice president of the Iowa Board of Realtors. She also served as president of the Women Board of Realtors. Prior to her career in real estate, she worked at the Savanna Ordinance Depot from 1943 to 1955.

She was an active member of Chancy Lutheran Church, serving on the church council and was active with many committees at church.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald of Clinton; two daughters, Sharon K. Knutsen of Clinton and Debra L. Fulcher of Lewisville, Colo.; one son, Gary F. (Sue) Steffey of Princeton, Iowa; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Irma Giddings of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorials be made to Chancy Lutheran Church, American Lung Association or Mercy Hospice.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, two sisters and one grandchild.
