Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lemke Funeral Homes, Lyons Chapel, 2304 N. Second St. A vigil service will be held at 7:45 p.m.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Hennen officiating.

CLINTON — Mary J. Faur, 87, of Clinton, died Monday at The Harmony House, Clinton.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Bradley, Michael and Brent Andresen, Robert and Jeffrey James, Keith Schreiner and Jason Faur; and grandchildren, Craig and Michelle Andresen, Brian James, Lucas Faur, Kim Kohl, Kara Schreiner, Paul Rhodes, Barb Housenga, Amy Fuller and Amanda Schutte.

She was born June 13, 1919 in Anamosa to Peter and Ida Ireland Wolfe. She married William C. Faur on Dec. 15, 1941.

She graduated from Anamosa High School in 1937. She later graduated from Clinton Community College in 1972, earning a LPN license.

She worked at Jane Lamb Hospital in the pediatrics unit. She retired in 1993.

She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty (John) Andresen of Clinton, Cathy (Dick) James of Clinton, Evie (Greg) Weis of Clinton, Mary Ellen (Doug) Hall of Clinton; one son, Gerald “Shooter” Faur of Low Moor; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Jo Ann Wolfe of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and one sister.
