Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Merchant, pastor of Trinity Reformed Church, officiating.

FULTON, Ill. — Edwin J. Bush, 83, of Fulton, died Saturday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, Ill.

He was born Oct. 29, 1923, in Morrison to Dick E. and Fannie Bruins Bush. He married Nora E. Ottens on July 1, 1949, in Morrison.

He was educated in Morrison grade and high schools, graduating in 1941. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in 1951.

He served in the U.S. Navy for more than five years during World War II.

He was employed with Douglas Aircraft Co., Long Beach and Santa Monica, Calif., and lived in Long Beach. He later accepted a position with International Harvester Co., Chicago, where he worked for 30 years before retiring in 1982. While employed at International Harvestor, he lived in Chicago Heights, Ill., and later in Western Springs, Ill. He traveled extensively for International Harvester servicing plants in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. After retirement, for the next eight years, he was employed part time with Dic Drug Co., BurrRidge, Ill. In 1991, he moved to SunCity West, Ariz., where he lived until 1996 when he returned to Fulton.

He was a member of Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton. He also was a member of Christ Church of Oakbrook, Ill., and Homewood (Ill.) Reformed Church where he served on the consistory.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Linda (Charles) Vaughn of Urbana, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Trinity Reformed Church, Fulton.
