CAMANCHE — Robert E. Hastings, 84, of Camanche, died Friday at Mercy North Hospital.
His body has been cremated.
He was born Nov. 14, 1922, to James and Matilda Henry Hastings.
He graduated from high school in Chicago and attended the Chicago Art Institute.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force.
There are no survivors.
The family requests that memorials be made to the Clinton Humane Society.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
