Edward W. Beidler

Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

MAQUOKETA — Edward W. Beidler, 77, of Maquoketa, died Saturday at Briarwood Care Center, Maquoketa.

Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.

He was born Jan. 12, 1930, in Maquoketa to William Henry and Clara M. Wurster Beidler. He married Margaret Hammerand on Aug. 16, 1956, in Moline, Ill.

He graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1948.

He farmed and did livestock trucking in his earlier years. In 1985, the family purchased the John Deere dealership, Beidlers’ Implement Inc., in Maquoketa.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Patsy Beidler of Maquoketa; one son, Edward L. (Brenda) Beidler of Maquoketa; and two grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
