Elsie Ella Casad

Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. today at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Mound.

DEWITT — Elsie Ella Casad, 87, of Westwing Place, died Friday at Westwing Place.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, DeWitt. Pallbearers will be Megan Meier, Joe Meier, Mark Stoesser-Casad, Erik Stoesser-Casad, Sara Stoesser-Casad and Janet Matz.

She was born May 1, 1919, to Albert and Ella Busch Luckow in Smithtown. She married Ed Casad on Oct. 7, 1944, in Grand Mound. He died in 2005.

She worked as a clerk with Iowa Mutual Insurance Co., DeWitt, for 14 years before retiring in 1984.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Grand Mound.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue (Ken) Meier of DeWitt; one son, Allen (Marilyn Stoesser-Casad) of Standish, Maine; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters-in-law, Pat Willer of DeWitt and Virginia Rock of Wheatland; and one brother-in-law, Glen (Delora) Casad of Wheatland.
