The Advertiser Monday June 25, 1923 p. 5 John M. Bohnson, who passed away at the Presbyterian hospital in Chicago at 6:30 Friday night, died from the results of having been overcome by heat while at his work with the Western Electric Co. He was overcome about 3 o'clock, immediately taken to the emergency hospital and later to the Presbyterian hospital. Two of his brothers accompanied the body here Sunday evening from Chicago and funeral services were held at 3 o'clock this afternoon from the B. Bohnson home on South Seventh street, Lyons. The Rev. Mr. Leas of Chicago, a friend of the family, conducted the services. John Bohnson was born in Germany on August 30, 1869, and came to America with his parents in 1882. In 1888 he left Clinton and worked for a number of years for the Chicago Portrait Co., and for a time lived in the west with a brother. At the time of the world war, Mr. Bohnson took up other work, considering it at that time more essential and more beneficial to his health. Since then he has remained with the Western Electric Co. Mr. Bohnson has often visited in Clinton, in fact made a visit here four weeks ago Sunday at the homes of his brothers and families. He was unmarried and leaves four brothers, J.L., A.F. and B. Bohnson of Clinton and I.M. Bohnson of Portland, Oregon.
