The Clinton Advertiser Tuesday August 25, 1925 p. 6 DeWitt The funeral of the late Patrick Verstreet was held form St. Joseph’s church at 9:30 o'clock Monday morning. Rev. J.J. Nelson celebrant of the requiem mass, also preached the funeral sermon. The remains were taken to St. Joseph’s cemetery for burial. The pallbearers being Jerry O'Connell, Michael McMahon, Clement Mulholland, John Smith, Edward Staggs and William Shultz. The flower girls were Clare Murphy of Moline and Mary Kearney of DeWitt. Those from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. C.H. Boyle, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Miller, Margaret Boyle, Mrs. James McManus, Mrs. and Mrs. Allie McManus, Mr. and Mrs. James Quinn of Davenport, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boyle, Kansas City, Mrs. Maurice Burkhart, Peoria, Mrs. Douglas Carmichael and James Tiby, Woodbine, Mr. and Mrs. E. Murphy and daughter Clare, Mrs. Samuel Banvooran, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles St. Onge of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Alfred Kettleson and son Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. John Carlson and daughter, Clinton, Mrs. T. Osborne and daughter, Clinton, Mrs. Fred Holcomb, Garden Plain, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. L. McMahon and Mr. and Mrs. D. O'Brien, Calamus.
