The Clinton Herald Friday February 2, 1996 p. 9 Howard C. Duhr, 64, of 2129 2nd Ave. So., died Thursday at Samaritan North. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pape Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Brewer of Lutheran Church of Atonement officiating. Visitation will be 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Brandenburg, Robert Blessington, Robert and Eugene Jackson, Mark Duhr, Carl Baty, Thomas Noble, and Bill Melvin. Mr. Duhr was born June 1, 1931, in Clinton, to Claus and Viola Draycott Duhr. He was a 1949 Clinton High School graduate. Mr. Duhr was employed at Curtis Company, and for the last 35 years was shipping supervisor at Champion International Dairypak. He was a member of Lutheran Church of Atonement. He very active in the Rock River Valley Jim Beam and Bottle and Specialty Club, and the Moonbeamers. He was an avid collector of Beam specialty bottles. Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Maxine) Blessington, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Jackson, and Mrs. Eugene (Shirley) Jackson, all of Clinton, Mrs. Edward (Audrey) Helfers of Des Plaines, Ill., and Mrs. Carl (Carolyn) Baty of Fontana, Calif.; a brother, Edward Duhr of Clinton; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and sister. Death date: Feb. 1, 1996.
