The Clinton Herald Wednesday February 3, 1982 p. 9 Mrs. Margaret Carey, 97, died today in the Alverno. A private funeral will be held. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Clinton. There will be no visitation. Snell-Zornig Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. She was born Feb. 22, 1884, in Clinton, to Patrick and Fanny McDaide Duffy. She married Edward T. Carey in 1908 in Clinton. He died in 1953. She was with Welcome Wagon for many years and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society and Mercy Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, Dr. Edward T. Carey of Clinton and Alan J. Carey of Tucson, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Harvey of South Bend, Ind.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
