SERVICES: Private. Cremation rites will take place with inurnment at a later date in Savanna Township Cemetery. Law-Jones Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
SAVANNA, Ill. — Bernice Ann Shackelford, 84, of Savanna, died Thursday at Wyndcrest Nursing Home, Clinton.
She was born Aug. 10, 1922, to Frank and Mary Thulen Kosier in Savanna.
For more than 21 years she worked at the Corner Tap, Rock Falls, Ill., tending bar.
She was a member of the Savanna Women of the Moose.
Survivors include two sons, Calvin (Pat) Shafer of Fulton, Ill., and Keith Shafer of Lancaster, S.C.; one daughter, Judy (Donald) Leonard of Lamoni; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
