Betty Rae Lanphere

Visitation: 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Open Door, Clinton. Yates Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

SERVICES: 3 p.m. at the church.

COEUR D’ ALENE, Idaho — Betty Rae Lanphere, 80, of Coeur d’Alene, died Dec. 26.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 4, 1926, in Clinton to Ralph and Edna Nissen. She married Robert Lanphere on June 22, 1949, in Clinton. He died in 2005.

She lived in Camanche most of her life.

She was a 1944 graduate of Lyons High School.

She worked with Clinton Corn Processing, Collis Co., and was head cook with Camanche schools for many years.

She was a member of Family Life Center Church, Coeur d’Alene.

Survivors include three children, Ross (Peggy) Lanphere of Hayden, Idaho, Lauri (Ray) Morrow of Camanche and Wendy (Gerry) Lyons of Chester, Va.; two sisters, Dorothy Echelbarger of Quincy, Ill., and Bea May of Baytown, Texas; one brother, Raymond Nissen of North Carolina; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Abbott of Camanche; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one child and husband.

Death date: Dec. 26, 2006
