Visitation: 1 p.m. until the service time Thursday at Lemke Funeral Homes, South Chapel, 2600 Lincoln Way.

SERVICES: 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

ALBANY, Ill. — Alan Sid Foster, 72, of Albany, died Friday at his home.

Burial will be in Clinton Lawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Simmons Stingley, Bob, Ryan and Kyle Wiersema, Darrel Dau, Ray Johnson, Mike Waller, Jeff “Skippy” Damhoff and his grandchildren.

He was born Dec. 23, 1934, in Clinton to Thomas and Hannah Hebdon Foster. He married Roseann Lichner; they later divorced. He later married Barbara Anderson on April 25, 1990, in Rock Island, Ill.

He graduated from Clinton High School in 1958.

He attended the University of Iowa earning a business degree.

He served in the U.S. Army and Marines.

He was a regional sales manager with DeLong Sportswear. He also worked with Wal-Mart and DM Services.

He was a member of the American Legion and the CSA Quartet Team, being a 1963 central state medallist.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Laura (Phil) King and Jill Garrison, both of Fort Collins, Colo.; four sons, Mark Foster of Mundelein, Ill., Erik (Maryann) Foster of Poplar Grove, Ill., Alec Foster of Albany and Kip (Michelle) Foster of Jasper, Ga.; two stepdaughters, Terri (Junior) Stingley of Albany and Tracy (Randy) Anderson of Manchester, Tenn.; one stepson, Tim Anderson of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; five grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
