SERVICES: 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
MAQUOKETA — Everett Richard Schwien, 64, of Maquoketa, died Sunday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Burial will be in the Rock Island (Ill.) National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Horton, Everett Richard Ewoldt, Ronald P. Clark and Steven, James and Daniel DeMoss, Cody Carroll and Michael and Delbert DeMoss.
He was born June 28, 1942, in Welton to Paul and Esther Dieckmann Schwien.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was a lifetime resident of Clinton County except for the last two years when he lived in Maquoketa.
Survivors include his mother, Esther Schwien of Welton; one daughter, Tammy (Landon) Rarick of Ainsworth; one grandchild; sisters, Elvera Rhueport of Apache Junction, Ariz., Iola (Fred) DeMoss of Welton and Iva (Ronald) Clark of Maquoketa; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
