Marjorie M.F. Lane

Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lahey Funeral Home, Wyoming.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Zion American Lutheran Church, Wyoming, with the Rev. Tim Miller officiating.

WYOMING, Iowa — Marjorie M.F. Lane, 85, of Wyoming, died Saturday at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery.

She was born June 7, 1921, in Elkport to William and Myrtle Reuschel Smith.

She grew up in Dubuque where she graduated from Dubuque Senior High School.

She worked as a waitress and clerk before her marriage.

She married Adra Lane on April 5, 1943, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. They later moved to Wyoming where they operated a meat and grocery business until his death in 1989.

She was a member of the Progressive Club, JuWoMo, Legion Auxiliary 259, Zion American Lutheran Church, WELCA, Mary-Rebecca Circle and Little Bear Recreation Club.

Survivors include two sons, Randy (Deb) Lane of Carlisle and Gregory Lane of Monticello; one daughter, Holly (Kevin) Bahnsen of Onslow; one grandchild, one sister, Fay (Frank) McCauley of Dubuque; and several nieces and nephews.
