Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Homes.

SERVICES: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Morrison United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gary Curl, pastor of Morrison United Methodist Church.

MORRISON, Ill. — Claudia Thomson, 68, of Morrison, died Wednesday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison.

She was born Jan. 10, 1939, in Rock Falls, Ill., to Raymond C. and Dorothy Evans Monn. She married Arlyn D. Thomson on Oct. 10, 1958, in Sterling, Ill.

She was educated in Rock Falls grade schools and was a 1957 graduate of Rock Falls High School.

She was employed as a jewelry store clerk for years.

She was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, the church’s mission committee and United Methodist Women. She also was a member of the Morrison Community Hospital Auxiliary and was a volunteer in the hospital’s lobby shop. She served as a Cub Scout den mother. She also participated in Relay for Life.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Kenneth Thomson of Rockton, Ill., and Kevin (Emily) Thomson of Fitchburg, Wis.; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Steele of Branson, Mo.; and one brother, Gordon (Janet) Monn of Sterling.

Memorials may be made to Morrison United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
