Gerald R. Beck

Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, and from 10 a.m. until the service time Wednesday at the church.

SERVICES: 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Bellevue.

BELLEVUE — Gerald R. Beck, 77, of Bellevue, died Sunday at Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dave and Steve Brinker, Bill Brandt, Ardell Till, John Chantos, Steve Engelman, Joe Theisen, Norvil Felderman, Cody, Christopher, Nicole and Natalie Beck, Ted Schriefer and Charlotte Schriefer.

He was born Sept. 23, 1929, in San Diego to Adam and Helen Schriefer Beck. He married Mary Louise Thies on Feb. 3, 1951, at the Holy Rosary Rectory, LaMotte.

He was a machinist with John Deere, Dubuque, for 32 years. He also worked five years at the Savanna (Ill.) Army Depot.

He was a member of the Bellevue Jaycees, UAW 94 and the Bellevue Golf Club.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Gregory R. Beck of Milwaukee, Debra J. Campbell of Cedar Rapids, Michael L. (Jody) Beck of Hanover Park, Ill., and Brian K. (Charlotte) Beck of Ankeny; four grandchildren; cousins; one aunt, Edna Schriefer; and brothers-in-law, Merlin (Elizabeth) Thies of Dubuque and Robert (Deborah) Thies of Clinton.
