William H. Quinn

Visitation: 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 11 a.m. to noon Monday at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Highway, Marengo.

SERVICES: Noon Monday at the funeral home.

LAKE CARROLL, Ill. — William H. Quinn of Lake Carroll and formerly of Marengo, Ill., died Wednesday at his son’s home in Camanche.

Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.

He was born in Owensboro, Ky., on Nov. 29, 1922, to Cleveland and Lillian Young Quinn. He married Lauretta Frasher on Oct. 10, 1942, in Chicago. She died in 1991.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of the First Air Commandos.

Survivors include two sons, William R. (Linda) Quinn of Soldiers Grove, Wis., and Robert (Penny) Quinn of Camanche; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Mary Frasher of Marengo.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Salvation Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife.
